Ingredients Required To Make Poori Kilangu :

Vegetables Required :
 4 Potato (fresh & firm)
 3 Onions (sliced)
 2 Tomato (finely chopped)
 1 Inch Ginger
 3 Green Chilli (slit)
For Tempering :
 1 tsp Mustard Seeds
 ½ tsp Cumin Seeds
 1 tsp Chana Dal
 ½ tsp Urad Dhal (broken)
Key Ingredients :
 ½ tsp Turmeric Powder
 2 pinches Hing / Asafoetida
 2 tsp Groundnut Oil
Other Ingredients :
 Salt as Required
 Water as Required
For Garnishing :
 A Few Pinches Coriander Leaves

How To Make Poori Kilangu Recipe :

To make poori kilangu recipe, wash the potatoes and boil. Peel off and mash them in a vessel.

Place a wok in the stove and keep it in high flame. Pour a little oil and after a few seconds, tip in some mustard seeds and cumin seeds to it.

When it sizzles, tip in the green chilies and grated ginger and stir in with a pinch of asafetida.

Toss over some chana dhal and urad dhal and stir till light brown.

Finally, sprinkle the curry leaves and let it splutter.

Now, add the sliced onions along with the required salt and splash a little water to soften them.

After a while, add in the chopped tomatoes and let it cook until mushy.

Now tip in the mashed potatoes while splashing a little water.

Pop the lid on and lower the flame and let it cook for five to eight minutes approximately.

After some time, just open the lid and see the masala being cooked up well and turns aromatic.
