Masala tea originated from the Indian subcontinent and from there it slowly spread to other countries. Masala Tea Recipe is a beverage made by brewing tea leaves with milk and other spices like cardamom, ginger and cinnamon.

You can also add other spices like black pepper, cloves, and mint depending upon your taste and preference.

Masala chai can be made with tea dust as well.

Traditionally, it is made by preparing a decoction made out of tea leaves. Then milk, sugar, and other spices are added to it.

Masala chai occupies an important place in the North Indian cuisine as its fantastic aroma and delectable taste are addictive. if you love the taste and flavor of cinnamon, you can very well try Cinnamon Tea also.

Ingredients For Masala Tea Recipe

 2 tbsp Tea leaves or Tea dust
 1 cup Milk
 ½ cup Water
 1 Nos Powdered Cardamom
 1 small piece Ginger ( Raw or Dried)
 1 Nos Clove
 1 Nos Cinnamon
 1 tsp Sugar
 2 Petals Mint Leaves
 1 pinch Black Pepper Powder

How to make Masala Tea Recipe

Place a teapot in the stove and pour a cup of water.

Once it is heated, put a tsp of tea leaves or tea dust and let it boil for a minute.

Now add the above mentioned spices one by one and you will slowly get a nice smell out of it.

Finally add a cup of milk and let it boil for 2-3 minutes. Add a spoon of sugar.

After it is boiled completely, switch off the stove.

Place a strainer over a tea mug and strain it completely.

Now the masala chai is ready to drink. Serve it hot with biscuits or pakoras.
