janta roti recipe

1 Cup Of Whole Wheat Flour
 ¾ Cup Of Water
 ½ Cup Of Curd
2 tbsp Ghee Or Cooking Oil
 Required Amount Of Salt
1

In a mixing bowl, add the whole wheat flour, salt, and yogurt. Mix well.

2

Gradually add water to the mixture and knead the dough until it's soft and pliable. The dough should not be too sticky or too dry.

3

Cover the dough and let it rest for at least 30 minutes.

4

Divide the dough into small balls of equal size.

5

Take a ball of dough and dust it with some flour. Roll it into a thin circle of about 6-7 inches in diameter.

6

Heat a griddle or tawa over medium heat. Once the griddle is hot, place the rolled roti on it.

7

Cook the roti for about 1-2 minutes on one side until you see small bubbles appearing on the surface.

8

Flip the roti and cook the other side for another 1-2 minutes until it's slightly browned.

9

Brush the roti with some oil or ghee and flip it again. Cook both sides until the roti is evenly browned and cooked through.

10

Repeat the same process for the remaining dough balls.

11

Serve hot with your choice of accompaniments.
