Chief Ingredients
 1 Cup Of Basmathi Rice (soaked)
 2 Cups Of Water
 ½ tsp Saffron Strands
 ¼ Cup Of Milk
For Seasoning
 2 tbsp Ghee
 1 No Of Bay Leaf
 1 Inch Of Cinnamon Stick
 2 No Of Cloves
 ¼ tsp Cumin Seeds
 3 No Of Cardamom Pods
 Required Amount Of Salt
To Garnish
 3 tbsp Fried Onion (optional)

In a small bowl, soak the saffron strands in warm milk and set aside.

In a large pot, bring the water to a boil. Add the soaked rice and salt, and cook until the rice is about 70% done. Drain the rice and set it aside.

In a separate large pot, heat the ghee over medium-high heat. Add the cumin seeds, bay leaves, cinnamon sticks, cardamom pods, and cloves, and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Add the cooked rice to the pot and stir gently to combine with the spices.

Pour the saffron milk over the rice and mix well. Cover the pot and let the rice cook on low heat for another 10-15 minutes, until the rice is fully cooked and the saffron has infused into the grains.
