High on protein, this Drumstick Dal Roti is sure to boost up your energy while satisfying your palates as well..
Take a large bowl and add two cups of atta into it and sprinkle the required salt.
Tip in the measured quantities of chili, coriander, turmeric, jeera, pepper, asafoetida powders along with half a teaspoon of sugar.
Now add a little ghee and throw in a cup of fresh drumstick leaves after cleaning and washing it well.
Finally squirt in half a cup of boiled moon dal and mix altogether.
Slowly sprinkle in the required water to make a smooth dough out of it and cover the bowl with a damp muslin cloth for half an hour approximately.
Heat a castiron tawa and smear a little oil over it. Let the flame be in medium mode.
In the meantime, take the dough and make even sized balls out of it and keep aside (approximately in the size of a big lemon).
Using the chakla belan make round shaped uncooked roti and place it over the heated tawa and apply a little oil over it.
After a few seconds, when one side of the roti gets cooked, just flip it to the other side and let the other side too get cooked up well.
Switch the flames between medium and high mode accordingly and make all the rotis in the similar way.
After all the rotis are done, apply a little ghee over every single roti and keep it in a hot pack after folding it in a clean muslin cloth.
Serve it with a cup of raw salad, pieces of cucumber and a chilled chaas (buttermilk).
