Cinnamon Almond milk is a nutritious drink which is packed with proteins and vitamins. It makes a healthy breakfast not only for children but for adults too as there is no cholesterol in it.

Unlike cow’s milk, it is absolutely free of lactose and gluten. It is rich in protein, iron, vitamin D, B12, B6 and vitamin E. It also has plenty of potassium, magnesium and calcium.

As Almond milk is a great source of antioxidants, it boosts the immunity in the body and protects against several diseases. The high source of vitamin D present in Almond cinnamon milk protects the skin from sun damage and pre-mature ageing.

The presence of cinnamon not only adds taste but also gives enormous health benefits.  It lowers blood sugar levels and it is anti-inflammatory.

It is good for the heart functioning and also rich in anti-oxidants. It has been used as a medicine since ancient times and was not easily available. It has been imported from other countries to India.

There are many varieties of cinnamon which differ from each other is colour, texture, and flavor. The exclusive smell of cinnamon is due to the oily substance present in it. As it increases the rate of metabolism in the body, it is very beneficial for weight loss.

Ingredients Required For Cinnamon Almond Milk Recipe

 100 g Raw Almonds
 ½ tsp Cinnamon POwder
 4 nos Seedless Date
 1 tsp Vanilla essence
 1 tsp Sugar

How To Make Cinnamon Almond Milk

Soak the almonds in hot water for a few hours and peel the skin and keep it aside

Put it in a blender and mash it well.

Pour the almond milk in the blender and put the seedless dates, cinnamon powder and a spoon of vanilla essence and a tea spoon of sugar and blend it well.

Pour it into a large strainer and filter the semi solid almond milk and refrigerate.

Pour it in a large glass and serve it chill along with some cookies.

Things To Remember : 

  • You can refrigerate this drink for 2 to three days as there is no preservatives in it.
  • You can also add dry fruits like figs, Raisins, and walnuts for added taste and flavor.
  • Shake the glass well just before drinking so that the sediments at the bottom get mixed up well.
  • Always choose a mild flavoured cinnamon powder because its smell shouldn’t dominate the entire aroma of the drink.
